【Beijing, October 14, 2016】 BVLGARI, a renowned Italian jewelry brand, and prominent contemporary Chinese artist Simon Ma (马兴文) at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Co., Ltd. jointly released the Bulgari × Simon Ma OCTO watch collection. From now on, nine limited-edition Octo watches incorporating the tradition of watchmaking, the history of Roman jewelry and the artistic impression of China will be on sale in the Chinese market.

This unprecedented cooperation began in the summer of 2015. Simon Ma visits Bulgari's dial factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He did his best to design 13 dials with different symbolic themes, each one related to horsemanship. Based on the rules of Chinese calligraphy, he used the most traditional techniques of brush writing and special multi-colored paints to create. This tradition of Chinese tradition conveys poetry, ritual, emotion and thought through ink and calligraphy.
